After conducting in depth study on the Indian SME Sector to understand their
problems, it was observed that in order to make them globally competitive,
support and assistance in many areas are required. In view of this, Mr.
Chandrakant Salunkhe, President, India International Trade Centre (IITC-India)
has taken initiative to set up SME Chamber of India to educate and empower the
SME Sector to compete with global market in the era of globalisation for
increasing the domestic and export performance with the support and guidance of
