After conducting in depth study on the Indian SME Sector to understand their problems,
it was observed that in order to make them globally competitive, support and assistance
in many areas are required. In view of this, Mr. Chandrakant Salunkhe, President,
India International Trade Centre (IITC-INDIA) has taken initiative to set up Small & Medium Business Development Chamber of India (SME Chamber of India) to educate and empower the SME Sector to compete with global market
in the era of globalisation for increasing the domestic and export performance with
the support and guidance of successful businessmen, industrialists, bureaucrats
and eminent personalities from various fields from India and abroad.
SME Chamber of India is registered as a membership based, not-for-profit organisation
committed to encourage and empower the Indian Small and Medium Enterprises to sustain and succeed in the era of globalisation.
