A delegation from SME Chamber of India, led by its Founder & President Mr. Chandrakant Salunkhe, paid a visit to GORD office at the Qatar Science and Technology Park on Monday, 15th May, 2017 and met with the Founding Chairman of GORD, Dr. Yousef Alhorr. During the meeting, thoughts and ideas were shared for possibilities of collaboration to introduce green products and technologies produced in India in the GCC region.
Dr. Yousef Alhorr discussed GORD's role in promoting sustainability and green building standards in the region as well as the Green Expo 2017 initiative that aims to bring together professionals and stakeholders working within the construction industry from the entire region to share ideas and best practices. The exhibition presents great opportunities for exhibitors to showcase sustainability solutions in form of products, technologies or services.
Mr. Chandrakant Salunkhe appreciated the initiatives and expressed interest in promoting opportunities such as the Green Expo 2017 in India with support of the Indian Chamber of Commerce to encourage Indian manufacturers and professionals to take up this opportunity to demonstrate their products and services in the Gulf region. Further possibilities of collaboration were also discussed in the areas of research and development. Both parties agreed that not only businesses and projects from both countries can benefit from the experience and expertise of the two organizations, but together, significant contributions can be made towards sustainability and environment.
